Based on Ben Mezrich’s recent best-selling book, The Social Network traces real life story of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and the origin of the social media phenomenon he’s created. Directed by David Fincher, and adapted to the screen by Aaron Sorkin the film promises quality dialog, suspense, and plenty of intrigue.
Apparently Zuckerberg was not involved in the project, although facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, was a consultant on the book.
High expectations on this one… Will you “like” it?
A Wednesday New York Times article reports that Oreo will be ramping up its efforts in social marketing by giving its Facebook page a global face lift. The popular page, which currently boasts 5 million+ “Likes”, will feature a new look as of July 5.
Though Oreo’s Facebook page has been up since August 2009, its focus to date has primarily been the American audience. However, a large volume of comments and “Likes” from global Oreo fans prompted the amended strategy which will engage fans of the brand from all corners of the world.
Digital agency 360i helped with the strategic revamp. Come Monday, I intend to grab a glass of milk and check it out!
